Francesco Taddei, Spinning® Master Instructor | Spain

Posted on 27-9-2018 by Mad Dogg Athletics

Why did you start taking Spinning® classes?

The Spinning program was introduced in the gymnasium were I worked in 1998 in Italy.

What inspired you to become a Certified Spinning Instructor and then a Master Instructor?

This different approach to do a collective class, using equipment like a stationary bike (until then equipment was a Step) and all with music.

What do you love about teaching Spinning classes?

When I see and feel a change in people, help them in this trip to a different way of training and living, and helping them reach their goals.

What are your top three favorite songs to play during your Spinning classes and why?

There are many songs I love, and everyone has his history o remember some special situation or passed time. But if you want three names I could say:“Altered State” (Asura), “Offshore” different remixes (Chicane) and “Last Train to Lhasa” different remixes (Banco de Gaia)

What makes Spinning such a great workout?

Because it is a group workout where you can choose to live your experience alone, but with the group you share your feelings, this makes it fun and you’re training at the same time. You can go deeper into yourself, giving your best.

Share a memory from your experience as a teacher/coach/presenter that embodies the value of being a Certified Spinning Instructor or Spinning Master Instructor?

Every class is a different experience, and this is always exciting. One time, years ago, I remember that in a event was a blind guy, he was experienced with indoor cycling, but I haven’t taught a class with a rider who had this special need. So in this class, he taught me how easy this workout can be and how everyone can live the workout in the better way.

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about becoming a Certified Spinning Instructor?

Do it!! Test yourself working with different people, out of your daily Spinning class, share emotion and know people.

What’s one of your favorite motivational quotes?

Take the opportunity to do your best, if you can and want, do it now or never.

Do you have a hero in the Spinning community, someone who deserves recognition for their leadership?

I think in Spinning® there aren`t heroes, but a lot of people you meet along the journey. One in particular was the MI who led my Spinning Instructor Training in Italy, Sergio Valenzano. We are in contact again and continue to talk.

Is there anything about you that would surprise people?

Probably that I always enjoy a Spinning® Class or that I’m father of 4 children. Why not ask the people who take class with me?
